Congress considering Social Emotional Learning Legislation

A bill introduced by US Representatives Dale E. Kildee (D-MI), Judy Biggert (R-IL), and Tim Ryan (D-OH) would establish Federal grant programs to support social and emotional learning programming in elementary and secondary schools.  The bill, “Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning Act of 2009” (HR 4223), can be read here.
