These MOC provides parents with concrete, age-approrpriate, and effective methods they can use at home with their child to reach and practice specific social skills and concepts. Coaching

Acting as a coach, you emphasize positive behavior through positive reinforcement such as praise, support, and encouragement to build your child's skills and teach concepts.

Children learn by example and parents are their first teachers. Intentinally modeling a skill or concept helps children learn from their parents' actions.

Role Plays help children practic enewly learned skills by acting out what they would and would not do and say in a particular situation.

Setting

Often a child's location, setting, or time when an activity is completed may impact her success.

Talking

Listening and responding to children, not lecturing, helps children learn to be good communicators, expressing thoughts and feelings, and understanding tehir own and other's point of view.
