Kenneth V. Arneson, MBA
CEO
Mr. Arneson has 20 years of management and leadership experience in large organizations and entrepreneurial environments. From the beginning of his career, he has been recognized for his leadership and management abilities, outstanding communications skills and knack for establishing operations excellence. Most recently, he completed the successful turnaround of a startup software company, raising a round of private equity, negotiating the company”™s acquisition and achieving profitability. He has held numerous leadership positions including Vice President, COO, CEO and Board of Directors member. Mr. Arneson is a graduate of the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD and holds an MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC Chapel Hill.

President / Executive Director
Dr. DeRosier obtained her M.A. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Virginia and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. DeRosier has many years experience working with children in both clinical and research settings, with an emphasis on social relationships and positive social development.
Dr. Ron Anderson
VP, Programs
Dr. Anderson obtained his Ph.D in Counselor from the University of Florida in 1975. He has been teacher, counselor, and university professor in a 30 year career in education. He served as the Senior Director of Student Services and Director of Safe Schools/Healthy Students for Wake County schools in Raleigh, North Carolina. In his most recent position, Dr. Anderson was Vice President of Research and Development for the Connect with Kids Television network.
Don Azevedo, Ph.D.VP, Corporate Relations
Dr. Azevedo received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Tennessee. He left graduate school with a strong desire to strengthen marriages and families. Dr. Azevedo worked as a clinician for twelve years in a variety of locations from war zones, to hospitals, to private practice. In 2000, he accepted a challenge to enter the corporate world to find another way to apply psychological thought to the human condition. As both an internal and external consultant, he provided leadership workshops and coaching to executives in several multinational corporations. Those years immersed in the business world solidified his beliefs about family systems and how they ripple out into our communities. After three years, his passion for helping families has drawn him back to the work of his heart. Dr. Azevedo is a certified PAIRS Master Teacher, Mentor and Professional Trainer. Dr. Azevedo has returned to private practice as both a clinician and the Director of Operations at 3-C Family Services.
David Debs
Director of Sales
Mr. Debs is a fifteen year veteran of the Duval County Public Schools. As an educator in Jacksonville, Florida he held many positions and in 1997 received the National Educator Award for use of media in instruction. After leaving the classroom, Mr. Debs directed the field operations and education outreach for the National Cable Telecommunications Association’s initiative Cable in the Classroom. In his most recent position, Mr. Debs directed the western division and sales force for the Connect with Kids television network.
Emi Ferry
Operations Manager
Emi brings a 9 year background in customer service, account management, and event management to SELmedia. As Operations Manager, Emi manages all of SELmedia’s™ customer service needs while processing orders, organizing trade shows, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business. Emi obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Catawba College.

Laura Harris Brightwood, LCSW
Director of Curriculum Development
Ms. Brightwood, LCSW is the Director of Curriculum Development at 3-C ISD. She is an avid writer, artist and clinician. She enjoys the challenge of bringing innovative curricula to life with creative, out-of-the-box thinking. Ms. Brightwood has designed and authored multiple curricula to help children enhance social and emotional learning, character education, and manage grief and bereavement. She is the author and illustrator of numerous books for children.

Rebecca Kameny, Ph.D.
Senior Investigator
Dr. Kameny is a Senior Investigator at 3-C ISD. She works primarily on website development projects that disseminate practical information on conducting research and provide online advanced training seminars to mental health professionals. She received her Ph.D. in developmental psychology from the Graduate School & University Center of the City University of New York, and her B.A. in linguistics from UCLA. Her interests include research design and implementation, pediatric psychology, and narrative studies.

Janey McMillen, Ph.D.
Senior Investigator
Dr. McMillen is the Research Director at 3-C ISD. She received her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she currently holds appointments at the FPG Child Development Institute and the School of Education. Her primary research interests are the social development of children with disabilities, social intervention strategies, and the role of the environment in social inclusion.

Dr. Mercer is a Research Associate at 3-C ISD. He received his Ph.D. in school psychology from Tulane University. His interests are varied, including research methodology and design, behavioral assessment and intervention, identity development in emerging adulthood, and school consultation.
